What is fundamental / beginner / fitness tubing?

This tubing is a medium size, thick tubing that adds the perfect weight for learning hula hooping AND allows a larger diameter which is absolutely necessary for learning the fundamentals of hooping. Having one of these hoops in your collection will ensure you have a forever chill hoop, a hoop perfect for getting a legit cardio, ab or arm workout in, or always have the perfect hoop to share with friends you're converting to the flow arts. :p I never leave home without one, even though I'm a polypro lover at this point in my practice!

Why start with a larger hoop?

The reason why a larger hoop with a bit of weight on it is best is because the hoop does a lot of the work for you as you're getting your muscle memory down/training your body to hoop without even thinking about it. The larger diameter of the hoop allows the hoop to turn more slowly which allows you more time to figure out the basics of hoop moves without getting all twisted up in your hoop! If you were to have a smaller diameter hoop, it would make it incredibly difficult to learn hula hoop moves and often times it completely discourages people from even picking their hoops up because they "just can't seem to figure it out". But with the right sized hoop it all becomes easier. :)

What is 3/4" polypro?

Polypro is a lighter hula hoop tubing that comes in clear which allows for fun transparent designs! Because it is lighter, it's limited to smaller diameter hula hoops so people typically start with a fundamental size hoop first, then size down a couple inches from their starter hoop and go for polypro. The combo of removing a couple inches AND lightening the tubing is 2 changes at once, so that's typically enough for most people but you're free to jump ahead if you would like! My observations are from 15+ years of personal experience, teaching, and hoop making - but that doesn't mean that every single person learns the same.

What is 5/8" polypro?

The thinnest, bounciest, lightest tubing I offer! Extremely limited in diameter / size due to how thin it is, these hoops are NINJA FAST and are for advanced hoopers that have tried other things and know that they want a featherlight option.
